Use of tinned copper wire and glass wire

Copper is a metal which is widely used by many industries for its daily operations. It is modified in different forms for improving its use as a metal. Copper is coated with tin to make it more durable and to increase its strength. Tinned copper wire is very durable and is used as source of power. There are two ways in which tin wire can be manufactured – electroplating and hot dip process. In hot dip process strands of copper are dipped in tin which is melted. The manufacturing of tinned copper wire is not that easy. First of all wire of specific size is drawn with electrolyte copper. The next stage is annealing process. Although the process of manufacturing is complex, it is in fact better than plain copper wire. Tin which is coated on the copper protects it from oxidation and also reduces the risk of wear and tear. This wire is also a good conductor and water resistant. Because of this property it is widely used in marine projects.

Apart from tin coated wire, glass wire has its wide application. Glass wire is also very durable and it comes in very affordable price range. This wire is used widely when there is a need of solid fire barrier. Hence, these wires are highly useful owing to their unique properties.
